Advice for Google Adsense Publishers

Google Adsense

Adsense is a flexible and rewarding advertisement program that allows new and experienced publishers to integrate text ads into their websites and share the profits with you.  To join all you need to do his have a website and visit the Google Adsense website to sign up.  Within minutes, you'll be able to customize small snippets of code that you will place on your web pages that will result in Google posting text advertisements on your site.  The key here is that you don't have to determine which advertisers, which banners or  which deals to post on your site -- you simply concentrate on writing your copy test and Google will automatically post the most appropriate advertisements on your site.

This is done by the Google spider which analyzes your site and determines the topics that are covered on each of your pages.  These topics then automatically are matched with advertisements that are posted on your site.  For example, a webpage discussing San Francisco and includes reviews of hotels in that city will result in advertisements for San Francisco, hotels, attractions, and general San Francisco travel topics.  This is important, because now these ads are considered targeted.  Targeted ads perform substantially better than random ads.  Furthermore, you save a substantial amount of time by not having to try to decide on which are the best chance to post on your page that most minor does that automatically for you.

All you need to do is write good copy text that results in visitors visiting your site.   Next, you need to decide where on your pages are the best positions to post these banner ads - you will want to find optimized locations on your page, generally within the text itself, that grant the user the greatest opportunity to click on your ads.  Google shares its advertising revenue with you, the publisher.  The big difference between this program and a standard affiliate program is that you don't need to sell a single product to get paid -- Adsense pays you for each time a user simply clicks on one of your ads.  Google has posted a lot of advice and tips online on how to that integrate Adsense into your website.

From Google's Adsense site: "Google AdSense is the program that can give you advertising revenue from each page on your website—with a minimal investment in time and no additional resources."
